My Niece Lexi's Graduation Cake

I made everything on this cake from the flowers to the letters using both fondant icing and gum paste.  The cake was a  dark chocolate with a butter cream icing underneath the fondant outer layer.  The cake was both delicious and fun!!  Lexi was happy, but I think her Mom loved it the most.

Fr. Dan's 50th Anniversary

It was an honor to make this cake for our family friend Fr. Dan's 50th priesthood anniversary. It is a lemon sponge cake with a lemon buttercream icing under the white fondant.  The rosary and flowers were all handmade.  While I was pleased with how the cake turned out, I was really happy to eat a big piece that awesome kitchen staff cut for me.

Easter Cake!!

Happy Easter! This was for my family but really it was for my oldest nephew Ian. It was also his birthday. It was a strawberry cake (Ian's favorite) with white buttercream covered in fondant. The bird nest was made out of chocolate and chinese noodles. The eggs were store bought-- it was Easter give me a break :)

Doing What I Love!

My kids are growing up and I now have free time to do what I love.
BAKING CAKES!
What better than the love of food, baking delicious cakes and sharing them with your friends and family! I love to see the smiles on their faces when they receive a cake.  In this blog I'm going to post my cakes for everyone to share!  I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
